Luke is 10 months old

10 months old and on the move!  Luke is crawling everywhere.  He pulled up to standing in his crib for the first time during nap today.  He loves balls and toys that make music.  He also loves anything electronic that is not for him particularly the tv remote and cordless phone.  His hair is starting to lay flat better but now resembles an old man comb over.  He is fickle with food.  Most days he enjoys puffs, bananas, and avocados.  He is largely over the baby purees but doesn't consume enough finger foods to really give those up quite yet.  He is on a schedule that includes a wake up time generally between 4am and 5am . . . but we are surviving and hopeful this will soon (very very soon) stretch.  He has eight teeth!  And such, he is a bitter.  He nips like a puppy in affection or in pursuit of affection.  We are working to break this habit quickly.  He loves Kate - he lights up when we walk towards her room.  Luke babbles a good amount with lots of recognizable consonant sounds, but no words yet.  If he wants to get a word in around his big sister, he is going to have to keep practicing for sure.  He is growing so fast.  I feel like his baby days are numbered and I want so badly to savor each one.  And yet when we think about next summer and have visions of him toddling around after Kate we smile from ear to ear.

Our little Christmas Elf
We love you, Luke!
